These are the destinations UAE residents ask us about most often outside the Schengen area, the UK and the USA. Some are straightforward; a few need a properly built file. Which is which depends on your passport more than on the destination.

Three groups, roughly

Some destinations grant visa-free or on-arrival entry to many nationalities. Others operate an electronic authorisation you complete before travel. The rest require a consular application with an itinerary, finances and accommodation evidence. Your passport decides which group applies to you, and for several countries the answer has changed in recent years.

What the harder applications assess

For the consular routes — Japan, Australia and China in particular — the decision rests on whether your trip is genuine, funded, and likely to end with you returning. Every document in the file answers one of those three questions. A thin application is the usual reason for a refusal, not one missing paper.

Start with your passport

Send us your nationality, your UAE residence status and your intended dates. We will tell you which route applies, what it involves, and whether the timing is realistic before you book anything.

Frequently asked questions

Which of these is easiest from the UAE?

It depends on your passport rather than the destination. For many nationalities the Southeast Asian routes are the most straightforward and the consular applications take the most preparation, but that ordering changes from passport to passport.

How far ahead should I apply?

For anything requiring a consular appointment, earlier than feels necessary — appointment availability is usually the bottleneck rather than the decision itself. For electronic routes, days rather than months, but never leave it to the airport.

Do you guarantee approval?

No, and neither can anyone else. Approval is decided by the relevant immigration authority. What we do is prepare a complete, consistent file so the decision is made on your actual profile rather than on a missing document.

STILL DECIDING?
